The Vernon Farm offers a family friendly, rustic venue for indoor or outdoor weddings, birthday parties, family reunions, class reunions, fundraising events, corporate meetings and other special events. The farm has beautiful views with rolling hills and features vintage vehicles and nostalgic farm equipment located through out the property. The indoor venue can accommodate up to 80 people comfortably. Please contact us to discuss your next event.

The Vernon Farm was originally purchased by the former Rockingham County Sheriff, Bobby Vernon in the 1970's as an original tobacco farm and he farmed it as well. Sheriff Vernon's grandson Todd Vernon had a vision to turn the farm into a rustic event center in his grandfathers honor to have a place for people to enjoy on their special occasions. With the help of Todd's wife Keri and a lot of hard work, the venue became a reality. The venue opened for outdoor events in 2020 and the indoor facility was completed and opened for events in September 2022. In August 2023, the farm was sold to Jamie and Rodney Lloyd and they continue to run it today.

During the renovation of one of the barns they discovered where Bobby Vernon had wrote his name in the chinking in 1978 when he first ran for sheriff. Even had his fingerprints too.
Jamie and Rodney Lloyd became the new owners in August 2023.
